Smuggled Pangolins Get Rehab Center in Cambodia

Besides this article being about wildlife rehabilitation, I loved it because I did not even know what pangolins were. They look like an anteater mixed with an armadillo. Apparently, smuggling them for their scales and meat is popular in Asia. The rehabilitation center in the article was opened to care for confiscated or injured pangolins. The pangolins in Cambodia have been hunted to near extinction. Evidently, pangolins are commonly transported in plastic bags. Unsurprisingly, many of them die in transit. If anything, I hope that you also expanded your pangolin awareness and can now be on the look out for organizations that help these little guys!
